IL&FS Engineering bags Rs 327-cr contract from Bangalore Metro

The contract is for construction of elevated structures measuring 3.95 km from Mysore road station dead-end to Pattangere station.

NEW DELHI: IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company today said it has won a Rs 327-crore contract from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL).

"The contract involves construction of elevated structures (via duct) measuring 3.95 km from Mysore road station dead-end to Pattangere station including four elevated metro stations," the company said in a BSE filing.

The four stations are -- Nayandahalli, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Janabharathi and Pattangere -- in the west extension of E-W Corridor of Bangalore Metro Rail Project, Phase 2.

The company said the project is likely to be completed in 27 months from the date of issue of letter of acceptance.

It had earlier executed metro rail projects for RMRG Phase II, involving construction of a double track elevated viaduct worth Rs 256-crore besides construction of five elevated stations in Gurgaon (South Extension) worth Rs 84.30 crore.

Post the announcement, the company's scrip was trading at Rs 87, up 0.74 per cent on the BSE.
