How to check PNR status using a payment app

If you are among those who struggling to get your train bookings in order, this could be helpful. Accessing your PNR status via the IRCTC site can sometimes be testing, especially when there is a huge number of passengers doing the same but there is a way out. You can now check your PNR status using Paytm or app, claims a report.

What's PNR?
The passenger name record (PNR) is a 10-digit number mentioned on your ticke that has all your travel information -- your booking status, departure and arrival time, seat details and the fare paid.


You can check if your seat is confirmed or is still in the waiting list.

While you can do via IRCTC, payment provider Paytm also has a solution.

1. Click on paytm.com/train-tickets
2. Pick 'Trains'
4. Type in your PNR number and click on 'Check PNR Status'.
