Harindra Rao takes over as General Manager of Eastern Railway

KOLKATA: Harindra Rao has taken over as General Manager Eastern Railway, Kolkata on May 9, 2017. Prior to this posting, he was working as Chief Electrical Engineer in South Eastern Railway.

An M.Tech. (Electronics) from Kanpur IIT, Rao had joined Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers ( IRSEE) in the year 1982. During his career with the Indian Railways spanning of over 35 years, Rao has held various important positions, having worked in Eastern Railway, South Eastern Railway, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, Diesel Locomotive Works, East Central Railway, West Central Railway and North Central Railway.
