Goods train derails, Delhi-Howrah route affected for few hours

NOIDA: Four wagons of a goods train derailed near Dadri area here today, disrupting rail traffic on Delhi-Howrah route for few hours, railway police said.

The mishap took place as the driver applied emergency brake, they said, adding that the rail track too got damaged.

The train was later shifted to an alternate track, official sources said.

An inquiry is being conducted into the matter, they said.
