Extra 20 min required to run Bhopal-New Delhi Shatabdi from Habibganj

An extra time of twenty minutes would be needed for running Bhopal-New Delhi Shatabdi Express train from Habibganj Station.

BHOPAL: An extra time of twenty minutes would be needed for running Bhopal-New Delhi Shatabdi Express train from Habibganj Station, railway authorities said after the completion of two-day trial.

During the trial period, the train was brought to Habibganj after the passengers alighted from the train at Bhopal for two days in succession till yesterday and it was found that additional 20 minutes will be needed to start the train from Habibganj, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Bhopal Division, Mandeep Singh Bhatia said here today.

The final decision on running the train from Habibganj will be taken by the Railway Board, he said.

The report of the trial run will be sent to the Board soon for necessary action.

The people of Bhopal were demanding for a long time to start Bhopal-New Delhi Shatabdi Express from Habibganj instead of Bhopal because of heavy traffic congestion at the railway station here when the train arrives.

The train 12002 New Delhi-Bhopal Shatabdi Express leaves New Delhi at 6 AM and arrives in Bhopal at 02.05 PM while on its return journey the train 12001 Bhopal-New Delhi departs from Bhopal at 2.45 PM and reaches New Delhi at 10.45 PM.
