Eastern Railway organises health camps for passengers to beat the heat
The affected passengers were given ORS, water with lemon & salt, drinking water, medicine and first-aid treatment at these camps.
As many as 27 people attended these camps at Howrah station on Wednesday. The affected passengers were given ORS, water with lemon & salt, drinking water, medicine and first-aid treatment at these camps. At Howrah station, two Special Health Camps were opened - one each at old and new complexes.
Railway doctors, para-medical staff, volunteers and Railway Ambulances, volunteers of Eastern Railway Scouts & Guides have been deputed to these Special Health Camps. Two other Special Health Camps will also be opened at Kanchrapara and Naihati stations from Thursday.
In addition to this, three other Health Camps have also been opened at Liluah, Kanchrapara and Jamalpur Workshops. Rail ways also displayed banners at different stations displaying the message for taking precautions against heat wave.
Railway ambulances have also been kept ready for taking the passengers from stations to the Railway Hospitals, if necessary.
