Detailed Project Report on Chennai Metro Rail soon

CHENNAI: The Delhi Metro Corporation (DMRC) was expected to submit the Detailed Project Report (DPR) on the Chennai Metro Rail in a week's time, Minister of Information, Parithi Ilamvazhuthi said today.
Speaking to reporters here today after launching an e-governance initiative at the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA), of which he is Chairman, he said the Tamil Nadu government was very keen on implementing the project which was expected to effectively decongest Chennai roads.
The Minister said the e-governance scheme launched today would make the CMDA a paperless office, as applicants can file and check the status of their applications online.
