Cabinet approves ₹20,667 crore Ahmedabad-Dholera semi high-speed rail project

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the Ahmedabad (Sarkhej)–Dholera Semi High-Speed Double Line project of the Ministry of Railways. The project is estimated at approximately ₹20,667 crore and is targeted for completion by 2030–31.This initiative will be India’s first semi high-speed rail project developed using indigenous technology and will increase the existing railway network by about 134 km in Gujarat
