Bomb hoax in Rajdhani Express

Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express coming from Thiruvananthapuram was checked after an anonymous caller claimed that a bomb was planted on the train.

PANAJI: Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express coming from Thiruvananthapuram was checked for over half-an-hour at Madgaon railway station today after an anonymous caller claimed that a bomb was planted on the train.

All the bogies of the train were checked at Madgaon railway station when it arrived at around 1100 hrs.

State police's bomb disposal squad checked all the bogies before giving the signal for the train to leave for its onward journey.

Konkan Railway Corporation Limited's (KRCL) public relation manager Baban Ghatge told reporters that Railway Protection Force (RPF) had received a call about bomb being planted on the train.

The message was passed on to KRCL, which manages this section of the tracks.
