Blockades and agitation has severely effected railway services in Northeast India

GUWAHATI: Railway services has severely affected following the blockades and agitation.

According to Northeast Frontier Railway in view of Jat agitation over Northern Railway and North Western Railway and agitation by Greater Coochbehar People’s Association ( GCPA) in North Bengal over Northeast Frontier Railway the running of trains have been severely affected.

At present trains are running via New Jalpaiguri-Siliguri Jn, Alipurduar Jn-New Bongaigaon section resulting in heavy congestion and leading to the cancellation of several trains.
