Bengaluru Namma Metro's south stretch opens on Sunday
When chief minister Siddaramaiah took a ride between Majestic to RV Road metro station on the southern line on Thursday , incomplete station works were visible.
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) said the delay in services on Sunday is due to the inaugural programme, which is scheduled for June 17 (Saturday) at 6 pm.
Pradeep Singh Kharola, managing director, BMRCL said, "We have to clear all the arrangements that will be put up for the inaugural programme.This will take time," he said.

Later, the chief minister held a closeddoor meeting with BMRCL officials where Bengaluru development minister KJ George, law minister TB Jayachandra, MLA Dinesh Gundu Rao among others were present.
Though the chairs were arranged to address the press meet, Siddaramaiah left without speaking to the media. Kharola said the decision on ticket fare on the green line was not yet taken.
