Bengaluru-Goa Vande Bharat Express to pass through the Western Ghats and coastal tourist destinations such as Gokarna and Udupi; check route details and scenic spots along the 13-hour journey

The upcoming Yesvantpur-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express will cover the journey in approximately 13 hours and 20 minutes. The route will take passengers through Karnataka's hill country, picturesque coastal belt, connecting several popular tourist destinations along the way.

The coastal stretch offers access to several popular tourist destinations. Udupi is known for Sri Krishna Matha and nearby Malpe Beach, Kundapura for its scenic coastline, and Murdeshwar for its giant Shiva statue overlooking the Arabian Sea.

One of the most scenic stretches of the journey will be between Sakleshpur and Subrahmanya Road. Passengers can enjoy views of dense forests, rolling hills, green valleys and railway bridges cutting through the Western Ghats. This is the standout nature-viewing section of the route.

The route passes through Shravanabelagola and Hassan, two destinations known for Karnataka's cultural heritage. Shravanabelagola is famous for the towering Gomateshwara Bahubali statue, while Hassan provides access to the celebrated Hoysala temples of Belur and Halebidu.

• Train 26655 (Yesvantpur to Madgaon): Departs at 7:35 AM and arrives at 8:55 PM.
  
• Train 26656 (Madgaon to Yesvantpur): Departs at 8:20 AM and arrives at 9:15 PM.
  

Journey duration: 13 hours 20 minutes towards Madgaon and 12 hours 55 minutes towards Yesvantpur.


Both services will operate six days a week. The Yesvantpur service will not run on Wednesdays, while the Madgaon service will not run on Thursdays.
