Alok Johri becomes Railways Member (Mechanical)

General Manager of North Central Railway Alok Johri took over as the new Member (Mechanical) in the Railway Board.

NEW DELHI: General Manager of North Central Railway Alok Johri took over as the new Member (Mechanical) in the Railway Board.

Johri assumed charge at Allahabad and is expected to come to Delhi on Wednesday.

Chairman Railway Board Arunendra Kumar was holding the additional charge of Member (Mechanical) till now.

Johri is expected to play a key role in finalising the bidders for the proposed Marhora diesel locomotive factory, a big ticket project in joint venture model for railways, in Bihar.
