Advertisements on trains to help railways earn revenue

BHOPAL: In order to generate additional revenue, the Bhopal division of West Central Railway has decided to use the coaches of five trains for commercial advertisements.

"Five trains--- Habibganj-Jabalpur Janshatabdi Express, Habibganj-Jabalpur Inter-city express, Rewanchal Express, Bhopal-Pratapgarh Express and Bina-Guna passenger train, have been selected for this purpose," spokesperson of the Bhopal division of CR, K K Dubey, told PTI.

Tenders would be floated soon and a five-year agreement will be signed with the advertisers, he said.

The revenue generated through advertisements would be used for development and providing better facilities to passengers at railway stations, Dubey said.
