The project, when materialises, would change the 'face of Kerala' completely, Sreedharan said.
The field survey work on the high speed rail corridor project is going on.
The technical expertise of Japan and South Korea are under consideration. If Japanese technology was accepted, they will give 80 per cent of the project's estimated expense as loan, Sreedharan said.
The estimated expense for the project was Rs one lakh crore, he added.
