200 passengers arrested for travelling without tickets

About 200 passengers were arrested for travelling without tickets by the General Railway Police (GRP) at Jammu railway station, police said on Thursday.

JAMMU: About 200 passengers were arrested for travelling without tickets by the General Railway Police (GRP) at Jammu railway station, police said on Thursday.

The passengers on their way to Vaishnodevi shrine, were arrested soon after they alighted the Puja express at Jammu.

They were unable to produce the tickets when asked by the ticket-checkers.

GRP released them after imposing a fine of Rs 10,800.
