Magenta Line section to open this month

The Kalkaji Mandir to Janakpuri West section of Delhi Metro's Magenta Line is likely to open by mid-May.

The Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) will inspect the 25.6km section from May 8 to 10, a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) official said. Once the section gets the safety go-ahead, it would begin service, he added.

The first 12.6km section of between Botanical Garden in Noida and Kalkaji Mandir was inaugurated last December . The Kalkaji Mandir to Janakpuri west section has 16 stations, including two interchange stations - Hauz Khas (Yellow Line) and Janakpuri West (Blue Line).
