US-bound Air India flight suffers tyre burst; all passengers safe
A US-bound Air India flight from Ahmedabad suffered a tyre burst after it landed at the international airport here, said airport sources.
The incident took place last night when the airline's engineering staff found that three tyres of Boeing 777 aircraft AI-191 were deflated on landing at the airport here," they said.
According to the airline, the (Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Newark) flight was dispatched on schedule after replacing the tyre-burst hit aircraft. The passengers were deplaned safely and another Boeing 777 plane was arranged to enable them to fly on their onward journey, they said.
