Turkish Airlines extends B777-300ER ops on Mumbai-Istanbul route

Turkish Airlines today said it will continue to cater to Mumbai-Istanbul-Mumbai route with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

MUMBAI: Turkish Airlines today said it will continue to cater to Mumbai-Istanbul-Mumbai route with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, after receiving a positive response from passengers.

The airline had deployed the wide body aircraft on the route from July 1 to meet the growing passenger base initially for three months.

"This aircraft was deployed on flights from Mumbai to Istanbul for the initial period of 3 months which will now continue in operations till March 31 next year as a result of very positive response from the passengers," Turkish Airlines said in release here.

The B777-300ER has 38 business class seats and 274 economy class seats and is the biggest aircraft in the Turkish Airlines fleet.

"With a total of 312 seats, the new aircraft will have more capacity for passengers as well as for cargo," it said.
