TruJet extends free services to Kerala flood victims

The airline will transport the relief materials that free of cost on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

TruJet, the Hyderabad headquartered regional airline, has announced extending helping hand to support the flood-hit Kerala. In a statement, the airline said along with transporting the flood relief material free of cost for three days, it will also carry the passengers stuck in floods free of cost to Chennai and Hyderabad.

The TruJet chief executive Vishokman Sing said the airline will transport the relief materials that include medicine clothes and food from governments and voluntary organizations free of cost on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from Hyderabad and Chennai to Kerala capital Trivendrum to be handed over to the Kerala government officials.

While returning from Trivendrum, the TruJect aircraft will carry the passengers stuck in floods and need to return on emergency to Chennai and Hyderabad free of cost as per the passenger list to be provided by the Kerala government.


In all, the airline hopes to transport around six tons of flood relief material to Trivendrum and carry back at least 65 passengers to Chennai and Hyderabad, TruJet said in its statement.
