Training aircraft crashes near Gondia, two dead

MUMBAI: A training aircraft crashed at a village near Gondia, Maharashtra Wednesday, killing the instructor-trainee duo on board.

The plane a DA42 aircraft of Austrlian make was on a training sortie for the National Flying Training Institute, Gondia. The aircraft departed from Gondia airport at 9:24 am and lost contact with the Air Traffic Controls at 9:29 am.

The instructor Ranjan Gupta and the trainee Himani, died in the crash at Bhapewada village.
