Tiruchi Airport to undergo expansion, modernisation drive
The Tiruchi Airport will undergo expansion and modernisation drive in a period of six years, entailing a cost of Rs 75 crore, a top official said.
Talking to reporters last night, he said the cost of the work would be Rs 75 crore, Airport's Director S Srikumar said here.
As part of the expansion plan, the airport would install two aerobridges, common user terminal equipment and construct public concourse and integrated building maintenance, he said.
An isolation parking bay was also planned for parking damaged aircraft, he added.
Meanwhile, he said that the civil aviation ministry was yet to take a decision on establishing a cargo hub at the airport.
