Technical snag grounds SpiceJet flight, passengers deplaned

CHENNAI: A SpiceJet flight was grounded here today minutes before its take off after developing a technical snag and all the 66 passengers were deplaned, airport sources said.

The Bengaluru bound flight, CE 1087, a Bombardier type aircraft, was halted and brought back to the parking bay after a technical snag was deducted when it was cruising on the runway.

The aircraft started at the scheduled departure time of 6.30 pm and moved on the runway to take off with 66 passengers on board.

The passengers were quickly deplaned and taken to the arrival lounge. The cause of the snag is being looked into, the sources said.
