Subsidised international flights from Guwahati under UDAN 3

“Two routes have been approved and flights should start by the end of March,” said a senior aviation ministry official.

NEW DELHI: People from Northeast will soon be able to take subsidised flights to Dhaka and Bangkok, as the government has approved these flights under the phase 3 of the Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) scheme.

“Two routes have been approved and flights should start by the end of March,” said a senior aviation ministry official, who did not want to be identified.

The government has also allowed seaplane operations under the third phase.


Seaplane operations are likely to start within Andaman and Nicobar islands in six months time, said officials.
