SriLankan Airline's special fares for south-east Asian locales

Colombo-based international air-carrier, SriLankan Airline on Monday announced special fares to tropical destinations such as Bangkok, Hong Kong and Colombo from Mumbai, with a view to attract more passengers on-board.

MUMBAI: Colombo-based international air-carrier, SriLankan Airline on Monday announced special fares to tropical destinations such as Bangkok, Hong Kong and Colombo from Mumbai, with a view to attract more passengers on-board.

With the introduction of these special fares, a return Mumbai-Colombo economy-class ticket would be as low as Rs 12,635 inclusive of fuel surcharge, a company press release said here.

Similarly, the return economy-class fares from Mumbai for Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur would be Rs 14,211 (inclusive of fuel surcharge) and Mumbai-Hong Kong Rs 15,790 (inclusive of fuel surcharge), the release said.

"Mumbai is an important sector for us and this being the holiday season, we are expecting a lot of traffic to South-East Asia," SriLankan Airline's Manager (Western India), Shermal Pereira, said in the release.

Keeping this in mind, the airline was offering this opportunity to travel to the best destinations across South- East Asia from Mumbai, he said.

The airline operates 65 flights out of India from seven destinations including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai.
