S'pore Airlines announces special fares for Chinese destinations
Singapore Airlines on Monday unveiled special internet promotional fares to several destinations in China like Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing.
The foreign carrier is offering travellers booking through online, an opportunity to avail a return economy ticket to China from Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai for Rs 18,299 per person.
The fares however do not include taxes and surcharges as these are additionally charged.
Announcing the special offer, Singapore Airlines general manager - India B K Ong said: "This offer is another of our online activities for the convenience of our customers if they want to book air tickets direct or through their travel agents."
The offer is available for purchase from August 7 till August 25 2006 and for travel out of India, from August 15 till September 15, 2006. The tickets will be valid for a month. Additionally, passengers may stopover at Singapore on their return journey, the airline said in a statement issued on Monday.
Simultaneously, the online promotion also offers return fares to China from Singapore Airlines gateways in India at a discount ranging between 30-60 % off its current lowest fares, the airline stated in its release.
A Star Alliance member, Singapore Airlines currently operates 47 weekly flights to 8 destinations in India including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Hyderabad. Besides, its subsidiary regional airline SilkAir operates five flights to Kochi and four flights to Thiruvananthapuram.
