"Due to bad weather in Kolkata (CCU), all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights may be affected," the budget airline said in a post on X.
Kolkata, the City of Joy, is likely to receive thunderstorms with rainfall on Sunday. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, Kolkata continued to be scorched with heat on Saturday, with the maximum temperature hitting 36.1°C, the highest of this season.
The weather department has predicted cloudy days ahead, with chances of thunderstorms striking the city over the next five days.
