SpiceJet to break even in Q1, ties-up with Tata AIG
Low-cost carrier SpiceJet today said it is likely to break even in the April-June quarter this fiscal.
Company CEO Siddhanta Sharma said that as part of its celebrations of completing two years of operations, the carrier would offer two lakhs seats at a special price of 99 paise for two or more persons travelling together beginning today till June 6 on all its non-stop flights, covering 14 destinations.
Besides, the carrier has also tied-up with Tata AIG to offer domestic travel insurance at a nominal cost of Rs 129, which Sharma described as "a unique proposal brought out by any airline in the country".
Sharma also said Spicejet intends to add eight more aircraft by March next year and currently it has 11 Boeing 737s in its fleet. PTI PRS RKL HK 05221233 DEL
