According to the airline’s statement, the latest induction brings the total number of aircraft added in just over a month to 15, which includes 14 damp-leased planes (two of them 737 MAX) and the reactivation of a Boeing 737 MAX from its grounded fleet.

Winter schedule expansion
The move comes as SpiceJet responds to a surge in passenger traffic during the festive and holiday season. The airline said it has significantly scaled up operations, with daily flights increasing from 100 in September to 176 as of this week.“SpiceJet’s winter expansion is a reflection of the strong demand in the market and our readiness to meet it,” said Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer at SpiceJet.
“With 15 new aircraft joining our fleet and daily flights surging to 176, we are not only expanding our footprint but also reinforcing our commitment to reliable, affordable, and convenient air travel for millions of passengers,” he added.
The additions are part of SpiceJet’s aggressive winter expansion plan, which will see 20 new aircraft join its fleet between October and November.
