SpiceJet aircraft's windshield cracks

"As a standard measure it was decided to replace the windscreen," the airline said.

MUMBAI: A SpiceJet aircraft operating a Pune-Delhi flight Wednesday had a cracked windshield on the cockpit leading to a delay.

"As a standard measure it was decided to replace the windscreen. The men and material required to replace the windscreen were moved from Delhi and Chennai, but as the Pune runway was closed from 8 am to 10:30 am, the flight carrying spares landed at only 11:00 am," the airline said.

The flight finally departed around 4 pm.

"The passengers have been served refreshment and have been accommodated in the airport lounge,"
