Singapore Airlines to add more flights from India

Singapore Airlines plans to add at least seven more weekly flights to Singapore from India -- five from Delhi and two from Bangalore -- from September, a company official said today.

BANGALORE: Singapore Airlines plans to add at least seven more weekly flights to Singapore from India -- five from Delhi and two from Bangalore -- from September, a company official said today.

With this, the number of weekly flights operated by Singapore Airlines from Bangalore would go up to 12 and from Delhi to 14, Louis Leonard Arul, Manager Karnataka, Singapore Airlines, told reporters.

The Airlines is also weighing the option of increasing the number of flights from Mumbai and Chennai, he said.

Singapore Airlines currently operates 58 weekly flights to Singapore from eight cities in India. In addition, its subsidiary regional airline SilkAir operates daily flights from Kochi, four flights from Thiruvananthapuram and thrice weekly from Coimbatore.
