September air traffic grows by just 1.18%

The growth in domestic passenger numbers has slowed down with the domestic airlines registering growth in passenger carriage of 1.18% in September — lower than over 3% growth registered till last month.

Domestic air passenger traffic grew just 1.18% in September compared with the year-ago period, according to DGCA data. At 48.2%, IndiGo has the highest market share, the data showed. GoAir was the most punctual airline, while SpiceJet flights took off with most seats full.
