Rohit Bal to dress up BA's cabin crew
Rohit Bal will soon replace saree with kurta suits and sherwanis as uniform of the Indian crew of British Airways.

NEW DELHI: Kurta suit and sherwani designed by noted fashion designer Rohit Bal will soon replace saree as the uniform of the Indian cabin crew of British Airways.
The uniform, a blue-red ensemble, first launched on the Indian route, would soon go global. “I am delighted to design a uniform for customer service staff that gives them a sense of pride and reflects the unique British Airways image,” Bal said.
He has also designed a saree to be worn especially at special promotional events along with the kurta suit. The current uniform, saree, worn by the airline staff, was designed by the leading British designer Julien MacDonald.
