PawanHans conducts flight test at Rohini heliport

NEW DELHI: Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd (PHHL) today conducted its first trail landing at its heliport in Delhi’s Rohini. The Heliport, which will be the first of its kind in India, is likely to be inaugurated before its schedule of April this year.

Executives said that the trial landing was successful and a couple of more would be conducted before it is opened for commercial operations. “We aim to inaugurate the heliport by March this year itself,” said the executive.

The Heliport will have a parking capacity for 16 helicopters at a time and will be able to handle a maximum of 150 passengers at a time.

The executive added that Pawan Hans would also open a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul centre for helicopters at the heliport too.
