Now, domestic flights during unearthly hours

NEW DELHI: Nights will no longer be for international flights alone. With Mumbai’s CSIA Airport handling planes to capacity and hardly any slots available, domestic carriers have asked for unearthly time slots beginning at 2.30 am for the coming winter schedule that remains in force from October to March-end .

Jet Airways, Kingfisher and Go Air have sought four flights between 2.30 am and 3.45 am. The 2.30 am slot has been sought for flying an A-320 on the Mumbai-Delhi sector which will land at IGI at a bone chillingly cold 4.15 am. Next is the 3 am flight to Bangalore, at 3.15 am to Hyderabad and the 3.45 flight to Ahmedabad.
