No decision has been taken with regard to privatisation of Chennai Airport, a top AAI official said today.

CHENNAI: No decision has been taken with regard to privatisation of Chennai Airport, a top AAI official said today.

"No decision has been taken on privatisation of Chennai Airport," Airports Authority of India Chairman, R K Srivastava told reporters upon his arrival here on a two-day review visit.

He said he would review the situation arising out of a slew of incidents, including glass ceilings collapse, at the airport here, besides rectification measures.

Also, the matter of opening the passengers' arrival hall at the international airport here will also be looked into, he said.

The visit of the top official assumes significance as it comes against the background of incidents, involving glass ceilings crashing down, over the past two years.
