Narrow escape for 77 flyers after IndiGo tyre bursts upon landing

HYDERABAD: Flyers on board an IndiGo flight had a close shave after a flight from Tirupati suffered a tyre burst on landing in Hyderabad.

According to report, there were as many as 77 people on board flight 6E 7117 when the incident occurred. All passengers were safe, IndiGo said.

After the tyre burst, the plane got stuck on the runway following which two planes had to be diverted to Bengaluru airport. Operations had to be suspended for some time.


Sourced said the incident occurred while touching down.
