Naresh Goyal welcomes Vistara Airlines

MUMBAI: Naresh Goyal on Monday welcomed Vistara Airlines, the Tata-Singapore Airlines joint venture, whose brand name was announced on Monday. He also said he feels bad for Vijay Mallya whose Kingfisher Airlines grounded flights in 2012.
“I welcome Singapore-Tata into the country. I am saying on record I am very happy for them,“ he said adding their entry will increase competition and make Jet stronger.

But Goyal followed the compliment with a jibe saying Vistara's message, “joy of flying“ was used by Jet many years ago as its tagline.

Vistara's spokesman later clarified that the message was used its promotional audio-visual and is not its tagline.
