MUMBAI: Mumbai's airport remained shut for close to half an hour as heavy rains drenched the city of Mumbai Tuesday.

The airport runway remained shut between 6:49 and 7:15 leading to four flight diversions to neighbouring cities such as Ahmedabad.

It also caused average, cascading delays of at least 20 minutes across flight schedules.
