Mumbai International Airport may put Kingfisher Airlines on cash & carry from 3rd December

MIAL may put Kingfisher on cash & carry mode from 3rd Dec according to two sources familiar with the development.

Mumbai International Airport Ltd ( MIAL) may put Kingfisher Airlines on cash & carry mode from 3rd December according to two sources familiar with the development. Kingfisher Airlines has dues worth Rs 90 crore pending for the last six months. 'MIAL will issuing a notice to Kingfisher airlines. It was also forward the same notice to DGCA & AAI' said the source.

Earlier a cheque Kingfisher issued to MIAL towards payment of airport charges had also bounced.

Airport Authority of India (AAI) has also issued a notice to Kinfisher Airlines for putting it on cash-and-carry from Thursday due to continued non-payment.

MIAL is operated by a consortium led by Hyderabad based GVK PIL.
