MAS GMR Aero Technic forays into aircraft line maintenance business pact with British Airways

HYDERABAD: MAS GMR Aero Technic (MGAT) has forayed into aircraft line maintenance business with signing of its first contract with British Airways (BA).

Under the contract, the company will provide maintenance support for BA's Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.MGAT is a 50-50 joint venture between Malaysian Aerospace Engineering (MAE) and GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL).

The foray marks the beginning of expansion plans of MGAT aimed at providing a comprehensive maintenance support to the airlines flying in and out of and within India, GMR said in a release here today. MGAT envisages expansion of this support to other airports within India.
