Maiden service of Bahrain Air takes off from Kochi

The maiden service of Bahrain Air, from Kochi to Bahrain took off from Nedumbassery this evening with a complement of 80 passengers.

NEDUMBASSERY (KERALA): The maiden service of Bahrain Air, from Kochi to Bahrain took off from here on Monday evening with a complement of 80 passengers.

The flight from Bahrain arrived with 162 passengers, including mediapersons and a high-level delegation from the airline.

Inaugurating the Kochi-Bahrain flight, state fisheries minister said that the launch of the services in this sector would further strengthen relations between the two countries.

Bahrain Air Managing Director Ebrahim A Alhamer said that Bahrain Air would launch daily services in the sector by the end of this year.

Airport director A C K Nair said with the launch of Bahrain Air services, Kochi international airport will have 18 airlines operating their services to various destinations.

Kochi airport which witnessed tremendous growth in both passenger movement and flight services, would be expanded soon to cope with the fast growth, he added.
