KOLKATA: German carrier Lufthansa would start operations on the Kolkata-Frankfurt sector from December two this year.
Initially, three flights per week would be introduced and depending upon the load, there was a possibility of starting daily flights from Kolkata, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany Guenter Wehrmann said on Wednesday.
He said that a German delegation is supposed to come to the city in January.
The current volume of bilateral trade between India and Germany stood at $ 9334.02 million, with India's exports at $ 3516.47 and imports at $ 5817.55 million.
