A few Kingfisher Airlines' employees on set off an alarm about non-receipt of their February 2009 salaries, raising questions about the company's health, but it was later proved false.

MUMBAI: A few Kingfisher Airlines' employees on Tuesday set off an alarm about non-receipt of their February 2009 salaries, raising questions about the company's health, but it was later proved false.

"The salaries of the employees of Kingfisher Airlines for the month of February 2009 have already been paid," a Kingfisher Airlines spokesperson said in a statement on Tuesday.

Earlier, a few employees had said that the company usually credits the salary on the 29th or 30th of every month and that they have not received their emoluments so far.

Domestic carriers are going through a difficult phase currently due to the overall economic slowdown.
