Kingfisher cancels, reschedules some Kolkata flights

Kingfisher has announced the cancellation and rescheduling of a few Kolkata flights in the wake of the Left parties' strike call against the fuel price hike on Thursday.

MUMBAI: Private air-carrier Kingfisher has announced the cancellation and rescheduling of a few Kolkata flights in the wake of the Left parties' strike call against the fuel price hike on Thursday.

"Consequent to the strike call given by Left parties in Kolkata tomorrow, we have cancelled our Kolkata-Agartala-Kolkata flight, while rescheduling a few others," a Kingfisher spokesperson said.

The Kolkata-Raipur flight (IT 2554) will depart at 7 pm tomorrow instead of its scheduled departure time of 3.30 pm.

The Kolkata-Bhubneshwar flight (IT 2503)has also been rescheduled and will now take off at 7.30 pm from Kolkata instead of 6.40 pm.

Similarly, its Kolkata-Hyderabad flight (IT 432) would depart at 7.30 pm instead of 5.55 pm, the spokesperson said.
