Jet's load factor increases in Jan
Country’s largest private carrier Jet Airways’ passenger carriage increased significantly for the month of January on a year-on-year basis, a release from the company in Mumbai said.
Jet’s increasing loads also should be seen in conjunction to Jet posting a profit of over Rs 100 crore for its third quarter results in December 2009. This is an encouraging sign for an industry which is coming out of what can be termed as the worst phase lasting for over a year and also combating infrastructure constraints and weather-related operational disruptions.
Jet has improved its revenues not only in the domestic market but its international seat factors have gone up by 13.5% to 84.9% with a revenue growth of 30 % as compared to January numbers last year. In the domestic market, where demand has gone up, Jet Airways has seen a growth in revenues by as much as 26% with a growth of 13.6% in seat factors over the previous year.
