Jet to hike fuel surcharge
Travel by Jet Airways' domestic flights, across its network, will go costlier by up to Rs 200 from Saturday as the airline has decided to hike the fuel surcharge.
"Effective February 26, we are increasing our fuel surcharge on all domestic Jet Airways, Jet Airways Konnect and JetLite flights," an airline circular issued to the travel agents said today.
The hike in fuel surcharge on travel up to 1,000 km would be Rs 100, while for travel more than 1,000 km would be Rs 200, it said.
This is the second time the airline is increasing fuel surcharge in the last two month.
Jet and Kingfisher airlines had increased their fuel surcharge by Rs 100 for travel up to 750 km and Rs 200 for flights covering a distance of over 750 km on December 31 with immediate effect.
Last time, the ATF rates in Delhi were hiked by Rs 935 per kilolitre, or 1.99 per cent, to Rs 47,816 per kl from December 31.
