Jet Airways to settle dispute with landlords

MUMBAI: The custodian of grounded Jet Airways’ assets has informed the bankruptcy court that the airline was willing to vacate its headquarters and another office in Mumbai to resolve its disputes with Luckystar Property Holdings and mortgage lender HDFC Ltd.

On Thursday, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), presided over by VP Singh and Rajesh Sharma, asked the counsels of the Jet’s resolution professional (RP), Luckystar and HDFC to see if the issue could be resolved out of court. The three parties accepted the proposal.

Luckystar is the owner of Siroya Centre, the building that houses the headquarters of Jet Airways in Andheri, a northern suburb of Mumbai.
