Jet airways to operate from Karipur from Jan '08
Private carrier Jet Airways will start its services from the Karipur international airport here from January 2008.

KOZHIKODE: Private carrier Jet Airways will start its services from the Karipur international airport here from January 2008, Union Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed said on Wednesday.
"The airways will initially operate in sectors other than the UAE," he told reporters here.
The Centre had been apprised of the problems faced by the passengers at the airport and necessary steps would be initiated to redress them effectively, Ahmed said.
Instructions had been given to the airport authorities to avoid rescheduling of flights other than in emergency, he said.
Earlier, the minister held detailed discussions with the airport officials.
