Jet Airways lowers its fare on international routes

MUMBAI: Jet Airways on Wednesday announced discounts of up to 35% on base fares of its international flights, making way for another bonanza for holidayers this year. Bookings under the seven-day offer are open till March 3 with travel validity up to December 12.

For instance, a Mumbai-Singapore return base fare comes to Rs 1,370. In comparison, IndiGo’s one way base fare for a Mumbai-Singapore flight in July comes to Rs 8,198. However interestingly, IndiGo is charging taxes and surcharges ofRs 14,329 while Jet is charging Rs 18,897.

The offer is also valid on long haul flights via its hub in Abu Dhabi and includes flights shared with its strategic partner Etihad Airways.

For instance, on a Delhi-Toronto Etihad operated flight, the return bas fare comes to Rs 14,420 while for Lufthansa it comes to Rs 37,100. However, here again Etihad is charging taxes and surcharges of Rs 48,931 while Lufthansa is charging Rs 39,299.
